Automakers launched a raft of new motorcycles in India last year and this momentum is expected to continue this year as well.  BS6 Honda CB300R, Royal Enfield Hunter, Royal Enfield 650 cruiser, and Yezdi Roadking are some of the upcoming motorcycles in India in 2022.

2021 witnessed the launch of some of the most exciting motorcycles in India.  The range of motorcycles launched last year stretched from feature-rich commuters to high-performance superbikes and modern classics.

1. Yezdi The iconic brand will make a comeback in India this month on 13 January, 2022.  Revived by Classic Legends that also resurrected Jawa, the Yezdi brand is expected to launch at least three new motorcycles in India, including an adventure bike and a roadster.

Yezdi bikes, just like the original Yezdi models, will be based on Jawa bike, possibly Perak and will use the 334 cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that generates a maximum power of 30 bhp and 33 Nm of torque.  This unit comes paired to a six-speed constant-mesh gearbox.

2. New-gen KTM RC 390 The new generation KTM RC 390 was globally revealed in 2021 and is expected to go on sale in India this month. It will have a pentagonal LED headlamp, bigger fairing, and clip-on handlebars.

The new RC 390 will be more agile and lightweight than before, thanks to a new bolt-on subframe and lighter wheels.  KTM has not made any mechanical changes to the new RC 390 which means it gets the 373 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that puts out 43 bhp and 37 Nm of peak torque

This powerplant is paired to a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and optional bi-directional quickshifter.  The sports bike, however, will have electronic aids like motorcycle traction control, lean-angle sensitive cornering ABS, and switchable ABS.

3. Royal Enfield Hunter  Royal Enfield Hunter is a scrambler bike based on the same platform that also underpins Meteor 350 and the new Classic 350.  As gauged from the test mules that have been spotted, the bike gets a round headlamp, elongated fuel tank, a ribbed single saddle, and wide handlebars.

The Hunter also gets bellows for the front forks, black alloy wheels, and blacked-out engine bay.  This upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycle will be using the same engine that powers the new Meteor 350.  It is a 349 cc, air-cooled engine that is capable of delivering around 20 bhp and 27 Nm of peak torque.

Honda CB300R -  2022 Honda CB300R was showcased last year and will go on sale in India soon.  The naked streetfighter will come equipped with a BS6-compliant 286 cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine.

The company hasn't revealed the performance specs but we believe they will be similar to BS4 CB300R that had 30 bhp and 27 Nm on tap.  This powerplant will be available with a six-speed gearbox and assist and slipper clutch.

Royal Enfield intends to launch a raft of new motorcycles in India this year,  including a flagship cruiser motorcycle based on Interceptor 650.  This bike will be propelled by the 648 cc air-oil cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine that is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

The engine makes use of a fuel injection system to generate 47 bhp and 52 Nm.  The upcoming RE 650 cruiser bike will be based on KX concept that was showcased at Auto Expo 2018.  and will have design elements such as a low seat, high-set handlebars, round headlamp,  teardrop-shaped fuel tank, blacked-out mechanical bits, and a large exhaust canister.
